For over 40 years Kanishka's has been the foremost pioneer for contemporary hand block printing in India. Kanishka's designs, handloom fabric & fashion aesthetics have defined and developed modern sensibilities towards the saree for generations. Steeped in exploring the traditional craft of wood block printing and ancient practices of handloom weaving, Kanishka's has over the years, gradually expanded to include 8 weaving community units across India and one consolidated printing, dying and finishing workshop in Kolkata.

Located at a turn of the century heritage building in Kolkata, the atelier represents an extension of the brand philosophy. Kanishka's has stood for the classic & the elegant, the sophisticated & the urban and the innovative & the original for loyal patrons all over the world and from all fields of life. Kanishka's products are exported in small quantities to Japan, US and Europe to discerning retail outlets.

Today, Kanishka's is actively involved in reviving some of the oldest traditions in handloom weaving and block printing and is committed to create a sustainable model in promoting indigenous handcrafted processes.
